Free Smartphone Scheme 2025 is a new program launched by the government with a very important and new purpose. This step is very bold and under this billion, every Pakistani will be able to participate in the development of Pakistan because the aim of this scheme is to provide smartphones worth more than one lakh to eligible and low-income people, students, and women across the country. 🌍 Everyone in the world is well aware that in today's digital era, mobile technology has become a very important and necessary thing and this scheme will help empower the underprivileged. They will also get help in accessing online education, financial services, and government apps and with this help, digital literacy will also increase.



Key Objectives of the Free Smartphone Scheme 2025

 The Government of Pakistan has put big thinking and big goals behind starting this program.

 🌐 The scheme will promote digital inclusion in Pakistan. Access to the internet and government apps will become easier for the common man and as a result, low-income people will become more mobile.

🚀 A lot of changes are being seen digitally. We will upgrade ourselves digitally soon and be able to walk on an equal footing with the world. With the help of this scheme, online education will be supported. 🎓 Students will be able to take tutors and online classes from home and participate in platforms that provide digital learning.

👩‍💼 Women will not be left behind with the scheme. Women will also become empowered. 📱 A source of income also starts from mobile phones. Access to health and educational resources also becomes easier.

📋 One of the goals of this scheme was to support e-governance such as BISP 8171, Ehsaas Program, and online verification of government services such as NADRA. It will be encouraged and will also become easier for the common man to access.

💳 With the increase in smartphones, the use of mobile wallets will also increase, such as Easypaisa, JazzCash, and direct accounts will be opened, making it easier for people to make transactions.

How Many Smartphones Will Be Distributed?

The government has announced that approximately 100,000 smartphones will be distributed under this scheme.
 Since the program is in its initial phase, this number has been set cautiously due to limited prior experience.
📈 However, after the successful completion of this phase, the number of smartphones will be increased in the future — potentially reaching around 500,000 units.



Who is Eligible for the Free Smartphone Scheme?

Main Purpose:
The scheme is designed to support students in their education — so only students can participate.

🎓 For Students:

  • Must be admitted to a public sector college or have admission in a university.

  • Preference will be given to students from remote and backward areas.

  • Must provide proof of enrollment (college/university admission slip or student ID card).

👩‍🎓 For Women:

  • Women from low-income families will be given smartphones.

  • Women registered under BISP or Ehsaas Kafalat are eligible.

  • Monthly family income should be less than Rs. 40,000.

  • Must provide original CNIC and family information.

📱 For BISP / Ehsaas Beneficiaries:

  • Already receiving financial assistance from these programs.

  • Mobile number must be registered on their CNIC for application approval.

For Disabled Persons:

  • Must provide a disability certificate.

  • Preference to those unemployed or self-employed with limited digital resources.

💻 For Digital Skills Program Participants:

  • Students enrolled in Digital Skills Programs will be given priority.

  • Must provide proof of course registration.

Required Documents for Application

The following documents will be required to apply, so ensure complete and correct documents:

🆔 Your valid CNIC number must be present. Along with the CNIC, a photocopy must also be kept.

📷 Passport-sized photographs will also be taken. The number of photographs can be two to four.

💰 Along with this, proof of income will be a slip, if you are employed, etc. If you do not have proof of employment, then there is no problem.

📋 You must be eligible for Benazir Income Support Program or Ehsaas Registration.

♿ If a disabled person wants to apply, then a disability certificate is required.

🎓 For a student, the student's CNIC or B-form must be present and proof of admission to a college or university must also be provided.

How to Apply for the Scheme 2025?

🟢 The application process has been made easy by the Government of Pakistan and you will be able to apply online. Here is a brief guide for you.

 STEP 1

🌐 Government portal will be provided to you. You have to navigate to it.
And then go to the official website. The link to the portal is given below:

 STEP 2

🆔 In the second step, you have to register your CNIC number, which will consist of 13 parts.
📲 Dial that number and enter your mobile number.
🔑 You will receive an OTP and have to verify it.

 STEP 3

📄 Fill your application form with the required documents that have been told to you earlier.
📌 Select your eligibility category, such as whether you are a student or a beneficiary of the Benazir Income Support Program.

 STEP 4

🔍 Recheck the information you have provided.
✏ If there are any mistakes or corrections, submit your form and you will receive a confirmation SMS. Will be deleted.

 STEP 5

📊 Based on your data, Benazir Income Support or NADRA will verify you.

 STEP 6

📦 After your request is approved, you will be provided with a pickup location or informed about the home delivery option.

Features of the Free Smartphones

The mobile phones distributed by the government under this scheme will include:

 Government applications such as Benazir Income Support and Sehat Card etc. will be present in the mobile.

⚡ 4G and 5G will be supported, which will make the internet run faster.

 The display of the mobile will be up to six inches or even more.

 Free mobile data will be provided to the users for six months in the same smartphone, but the monthly fee will be fixed.

🛡 A warranty will also be given for the smartphone and custom support will also be provided so that any defect can be corrected.

📞 This smartphone will be able to accommodate two SIMs and will work fast like other smartphones.

Is There Any Fee or Hidden Charges?

💰 You will not be charged any fee for applying in this scheme. You will be able to apply 100 percent.

📱 The smartphone will be given without any down payment.

🚫 No hidden charges will be applied for any reason or any kind. No service fee will be charged.

🆔 Only one smartphone will be issued per identity card.

⚠️ If you misuse the smartphone or are involved in any wrong activity, then in the future you will be blacklisted from every scheme.

👩‍🦰 Women eligible for Benazir Income Support and Ehsaas Program – Application date: August 2025

🎓 Students of universities and colleges – Application date: September 2025

Disabled persons – Application date: October 2025
